Is crypto trading legal in India?
Yes. The Supreme Court of India lifted the RBI ban on crypto trading in 2020. Crypto is treated as a Virtual Digital Asset (VDA) and is subject to 30% tax on gains and 1% TDS. P2P Exchange fully complies with Indian tax regulations.
How does the escrow system work?
When a trade is initiated, the seller's crypto is automatically moved to our secure escrow wallet. The buyer then sends INR via UPI/IMPS/NEFT directly to the seller. Once the seller confirms receipt of payment, the crypto is released to the buyer. If there's a dispute, our team mediates using transaction proofs.
What KYC documents are required?
You'll need your Aadhaar card and PAN card. We verify your identity via DigiLocker or manual upload. A quick selfie with liveness check completes the process. Most users finish KYC in under 5 minutes.
Which cryptocurrencies are supported?
At launch: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT). We'll add more tokens based on community demand, including SOL, MATIC, and XRP in Phase 2.
What are the trading fees?
Zero trading fees during our launch period. After that, maker/taker fees will be among the lowest in India. Early adopters get extended fee-free trading.
What are the trade limits?
Minimum trade: Rs 500. Maximum per trade: Rs 50,00,000. Daily limits depend on your KYC level. Basic KYC: Rs 5L/day. Enhanced KYC: Rs 50L/day.
What happens if there's a dispute?
Either party can open a dispute within the trade window. Both submit evidence (payment screenshots, transaction IDs). Our dispute team reviews within 24 hours and makes a fair ruling. Repeat offenders are permanently banned.
How long do withdrawals take?
Crypto withdrawals are processed within 30 minutes (depends on blockchain confirmation time). INR payments via UPI are instant. IMPS typically completes within minutes. NEFT may take up to 2 hours during banking hours.
